It would be fantastic if any parents / carers or friends would like to support this event! The aim is to make paths from wood-chippings etc. Meet at school at 08:30. Finish time 12:00.

Lenten Promises

Today in year one we have been making Lenten promises. As it's Ash Wednesday we have been thinking about how Jesus struggled in the wilderness and resisted temptation.

A classroom visitor

We had a special visitor during our lessons this morning. A pheasant came and seemed to want to learn some phonics too! It was very exciting and we got to see the pheasants bright feathers very close.

Shrove Tuesday

Class 1 have been learning about Shrove Tuesday today. All the children got to make a pancake and we wrote ingredient lists and instructions for pancake making.  Some children got a little carried away with adding the lemon and sugar!

North Devon High 5 Netball finals

The school's High 5 netball team participated in the North Devon High 5 netball finals today which were held at The Park Community school, Barnstaple. Eighteen teams played for a place at the county games which are to be held in April. St Helens came 8th and played very well and came up against some very tough competition. Well done!!

Class 6 learn to separate eggs - an important life skill!

This morning we have enjoyed making mango ice cream using a Caribbean recipe.  We are going to freeze it overnight and make mango pancakes tomorrow to eat it with.   Well done Mrs Trewin - I expect you will be dreaming about separating eggs tonight!
