Y6 science - structures that withstand the elements

Our science challenge today was to create a structure which would withstand the wind (hair dryer),  the rain (water squirter) and an earthquake (shaky table). We were limited to 25 strands of spaghetti and a small lump of bluetac to build our structure. A small figurine had to be able to stand up inside it.  In our groups we discussed, designed and then madeour structures   before testing as a whole class to see which ones withstood the elements. Here are some of our designs; scroll down to the bottom for the winning design. Well done Ella, Lily and Olivia.
